Street Law values and relies upon the contributions of our volunteers, industry partners and pro bono supporters.
The sections below detail how you can join us in our mission to provide access to free, specialist legal services addressing the needs of people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Volunteering and Partnerships
We recruit for our student and graduate law volunteering positions two to three times a year. The best way to keep up to date with our recruitment rounds is to follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn.
Please note: We generally only accept volunteers who are in their final year of law school or have graduated, and previous experience in the law is highly regarded. As a minimum volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of one day a week for 3 – 6 months.
At Street Law we have 2 established law firm partners who provide us with secondees one day a week. These partners are Corrs Chambers Westgarth and King & Wood Mallesons.
We are always keen to talk to more law firms who would like to partner with us; feel free to contact us using the form below if you would like to discuss what opportunities there are to do this.
Street Law provides generalist legal advice across a number of different areas, and relies on pro bono support in order to provide clients with expert advice and representation.
We have an established relationship with the WA Bar Association and other local law firms for legal advice for our clients and for the centre. If you would like to be contacted about opportunities for pro bono work, please contact us using the form below.
Street Law has non-legal volunteers to assist with specific projects during the year. These projects include communications, social media, and graphic design. If you are interested in partnering with Street Law in this way, please contact us using the form below.
